I. PRIMARY PROCESSES
They represent the Essential Processes for the Company to fulfill its Mission.
These are all Activities that are closely linked to the final delivery to the Customer.
Example: Product Development; Marketing; Production; Delivery; After-Sales Services.
II. SUPPORT PROCESSES
Responsible for supporting the Primary Processes and can also support Management Processes.
Example: HR/Personnel Department, Finance, Purchasing, Accounts Payable and Receivable; Accounting.
III. MANAGEMENT PROCESSES
Responsible for MEASURING, MONITORING, CONTROLLING ACTIVITIES, AND MANAGING THE PRESENT AND FUTURE OF THE BUSINESS.
Example: Data Analysis, Reporting, Strategies Creation and other Management Initiatives such as Process Mapping.
PROCESS MAPPING - STEP BY STEP
( 1 ) DEFINE THE OBJECTIVES OF THE ORGANIZATION AND THE PROCESSES THAT WILL BE MAPPED
( 2 ) INDICATE THE PROCESSES SUPPLIERS
( 3 ) IDENTIFY WHAT ARE THE INPUTS OF THE PROCESS.
( 4 ) DETERMINE THE COMPONENTS OF THE PROCESSES.
( 5 ) IDENTIFY THE OUTPUTS OF THE PROCESSES.
( 6 ) INDICATE WHO THE PERFORMERS OF THE PROCESS ARE.
( 7 ) DOCUMENTATE THE PROCESS MAPPED.
( 8 ) DEFINE THE NECESSARY IMPROVEMENTS TO THE CURRENT PROCESS
